To remind us he must strip away the other things; turn them sour. This is why I think trials must come in a believers life. God loves us to much to let us settle for less then Him.

But since then, he has been blessing me with all these opportunities and provisions, and he is asking me, "So what about now? Is this me or is this you? Because we both know it is ME, but are you going to acknowledge it as it is or take the credit?" So I have been finding that at every new turn, where doors begin to open up, that it is a new way for God to point me back to himself so as to gain my affection. However, all that is not necessary for it has been done chiefly in his death and resurrection. I just suck at remembering that and so he has to remind me at key points in the journey who really is the lover in the relationship.
