Support is a mountain, and I'd like to be sitting on top!

So this whole support raising business is no walk in the park! It's challenging, frustrating, filled with anxiety, but also amazing, humbling, and totally out of my hands. The last few months have been a whirlwind. And now we're down to the final countdown.... 10 days.

A few weeks ago, I was in complete freak out mode! With support at 10%, I thought, "this is NEVER going to happen!" Then I had dinner with a friend who had just returned from the Philippines. He asked me, "Are you sure you are supposed to be going there?" I answered with a resounding YES! That much I knew. Then he asked, "Are you sure you're supposed to go now?" Well, I didn't really have an answer for that one. As I thought about it, I realized God will get me there when it's His time. That realization brought a calmness. Truth is, if we're called to go, He will get us there. Period.

With 10 days until support is due, I'm still in need of monthly supporters. It kind of seems impossible when I think about it, but that's me looking through the World's glasses. God can do anything! and that is exciting, is it not?

Oh and this week, I think we're at about 70%. Yeah, God is awesome!!!

I think He created darkness so that His light would shine brighter in contrast.

I think that's how support raising is too. When we're this deep in it and it seems there's no way we'll make it there, He pulls us through, and there's no mistaking who did what.
