Hello again. Thank you so much for your prayers and support.


So I think this last month I've been learning how perfect God's love is for us. There is no flaw in God's love. I think about how many times I have forgotten this and will still probably forget in the future. If God's love was anything less that perfect then I and none of us would be able to reach it. It's just kind of blowing my mind once again that God loves me so much.


Well here you go!


So for my family life here in Cote d'Ivoire it's been going good. My brother Ely in getting married on Saturday September 17!! I am so excited for him. Today I finally got to meet his fiance in person instead of talking with her on the phone. She seems really layed back and sweet. It's going to be alot of changes now for me because now I have a new sister, aunt, mom whatever .lol I volunteered to make the cake for the wedding. I'm making ALOT of cake. Probably around 300 people are going to be there. It's been interesting getting to see how this whole wedding thing in Cote d'Ivoire works. It's been crazy this last week with the wedding being so soon. Gosh weddings are like the most stressful thing. I know it's going to be a beautiful day when it finally happens but man I will be happy when it's all over as well. I hope I don't mess up with the cake.


When I can, I love to go for a jog around my little neighborhood. One day a couple of thirteen year old girls, Olivia and Deborah, asked to come with me. I was like sure! Ever since then I've had running buddies whenever I go. They are really fun and I love getting to know them on our runs together. We have good talks about school, the day, our favorite things to eat ect. I let them trade off listening to my ipod. They absolutly love listening to all my American pop music I've got in there.



I got to visit my family in Korhogo on the fourth of September. I had dinner with them. It was weird all my little brothers and sister had seriously grown since I last saw them! I was gone for like two months! It was good to see them again.


I went up to Korhogo also for a seminar where the pastuers, families and our leaders Rod and Angelika disscussed with us the program and how to make it better.



I now have 50 little chicks that I help take care of at the orphanage. What I'm actually doing is getting other people like Nestor, and the staff to help take care and raise the chicks together. By doing this when I leave they can continue without me and make money for the orphonage as well as enriching the lives of the kids that live there. So I feel like I have a job now I help train people on how to help Nestor take care of the chicks. I work with Nestor a couple other handicapped, the staff and the kids. When the chicks arrived I spent a weekend living at the orphonage to make sure everything was taken care of as far as keeping them warm feeding them and giving the water needed. It was frustuarating because at first the staff weren't involved at all. But now I have a couple of the staff members helping Nestor and working together in raising the chicks. When I'm there I take the kids to see the chicken coup and the little chicks inside which they absolutly love!



I didn't think I'd end up working at an orphonage but I guess you end up places you least expect sometimes. This particular orphanage I remember deciding I did not want to work with kids or at this orphonage on my first visit. The kids were crazy jumping all over me and the staff didn't seem to help or care at all that I was there for the morning. That was in November. Now I end up living there for a time and going there 3 to 4 times a week for the day. It's really cool because now I have frienships there with the staff which makes it so much better. It's all about the relationships and second the actual projects. It's SO hard because I want to adopt most all the kids there. It's going to be interesting when it's time to sell the chickens because I have no idea how that works here. Guess I'll find out.



Also I now have a male and a female rat to start breeding. This project is very experimental so I hope it goes well. I definatley won't get to see the end result of this project before I leave but I'm really thankful that I was involved with getting it started. I know in the future this rat business is going to be so beneficial for the people in here in Bouake.



So yeah it's been another busy month as usual sometimes I just need to slow down and take it all in before it's gone.



Thank you for supporting me and keeping me in your prayers. It's crazy that I'll be home in the U.S. in less then two months! I'm trying to prepare myself before I'm home but I know there are some things you can't fully prepare for. I know it will be hard but I think it's the right step for me in my life to go back to the U.S. and finish school. There's no doubt that I'll be back here again in Cote d'Ivoire sometime in my life. I just don't know when. I know I'm going to miss this place more then I can imagine.
