in Brussels

Towards the end I got a bit rushed because my computer was running really slow and I was trying to do the final backup. Everything got done in time (and only 92 lbs of luggage), I got 10 minutes away from the airport and realized that I had left my laptop and ipod charging in the sunroom. So, we prayed for a slightly delayed flight and Godspeed for my parents. They… Continue

Thanks & I just realized I should blog again before I leave

Really? My plane leaves next Tuesday. All that is in my mind is the number of pounds of my life I can carry on the plane. Well, of course I'm trying to lose weight off myself (which is slowly working!), but I'm also trying to shed from my suitcases. In the meantime, I'm filling my days with French learning, reading, painting, getting rid of things, buying new things, filling out visa paperwork, getting immunizations, and oh yeah - making muffins. I just made a…

September Update

Dear Friends and Family,

August has been filled with visiting and praying with friends, family, and supporting churches; I have been really blessed to be able to spend time with some of you and I look forward to seeing the rest of you in

my travels before I leave. August has also given me the chance to pick up a few

flexible side jobs that have provided some income to cover my pre-field…
