Journey Corps is intriguing to me because of the work that is focused on. Individuals are able to serve on the mission field and provide service to our Lord where it is needed, when it is needed

Your Heart For Missions

While there are many needs for missionaries on the field, my heart is for not only the people who need Christ but also for the missionaries. My heart is to be able to serve them in a crisis or in daily living struggles. My joy is to help with their emotional and psychological needs through counseling services.

How Would You Rate Your interest in Missions? 1 being little interest 10 being life calling

I personally have served on the mission field in India for a month. Before going there, I felt I needed to go to India and once I got there and able to serve in an orphanage, I know I wanted to go to the mission field. My question then began, how can I really serve yet do what I love, which is helping others through counseling? As I was leaving India, I knew I had changed personally but that I had also been able to help others find the love of Christ.

I began to sponsor more missionaries once I got back. Within a year of meeting missionaries in India and supporting missionaries in Africa as well as Europe, I got to see how missionaries themselves needed assistance through counseling! They deal with family deaths on and off the field, they deal with deaths of those they are trying to reach, they deal with government problems, and so much more. My heart fell to wanting to serve on the mission field by serving those who serve our Lord.

What interests, abilities, and gifts has God given you?

My joy is serving! I enjoy volunteering for many ministries such as working in the children's ministry. I am a compassionate person who cares for people and animals; I believe creation is God's creation and it is to be respected.
