hey, lovely! How are you? I was praying for you today and thought I stop by and see how support raising is going. We'll have to catch up soon, eh? Have a wonderful day!!
I try to pray right then and there with people so I can't forget. Also, this made me weak... I love old people. I sit with a whole group of them when I'm at my grandparents' church. One of the older men, he passes me jokes that he…
The search is alright. I've found one I really like, but I'm still praying about it. It is hectic because I want a home church so badly; but I gotta keep reminding myself, I want the Lord more so I'll pursue Him, not a building.…
Hey Kate, how's the church search coming? You've been in my prayers this last week. I'm sure its a challenge to deal with a move as well as getting ready for Journey Corps.
Things are slow and steady with me right now. Just got my…
Well, let me encourage you to begin to ask family and friends and write support letters just to start. Fundraising is tough work (I'm sure you know) ... and it takes time! I just spent about 8 hours personally emailing all my friends with the…
Thanks, Jamie. Most of the pictures were taken in Zambia but some where around DC where I live. Things are slow and steady really. The Lord is good, so I have no worries. I just moved to Dallas, TX so praying that I find the right church and make…
Prepping for Africa is slow... I have been talking to family and friends about it but I haven't really begun to truly hit the fund raising trail. I just moved though so I'm hopefully to really find a home church, which will help a lot. For…
Hey Kate! Just wanted to see how things are going and if there's anything I can be praying about for you. I love the pictures you've posted. Were they all taken in Zambia?
I have a passion to follow the Lord, serve His children, and invest my heart into those around me. Journey Corps seems like the best opportunity to grow and learn while serving.
Your Heart For Missions
I have a desire to see others worship the Lord! He is worthy of worship, of love, of our dedication to His work. It's an honor and a blessing to be given any opportunity to see someone come to know the Lord, and grow in that love.
How Would You Rate Your interest in Missions? 1 being little interest 10 being life calling
I've been to the Bahamas and participated in street evangelism. Scary, and I wouldn't say no to doing it again... I would just prefer more investment into the people who found the Lord. No more hit and run evangelism.
I've served in Zambia two times, a month each. Africa stole my heart for sure. Getting to see the men, women, and children learn about the Lord, throw aside witchcraft and follow after the True and Holy God... such an unbelievable blessing.
Right now I work with an organization at Liberty University called Xtreme Impact. I mentor and encourage high school students before, during and after mission trips. I feed into them the importance of the great commission.
How Did You Find Us
Very interested in working for World Venture full time. Met some crazy amazing kids from Journey Corps at Liberty University and was sold. Love at first sight. :)

Things are slow and steady with me right now. Just got my first batch of support letters out and already got some responses, so that was exhilerating :-) I think my biggest prayer request would be that I just remember to trust God for all my needs.
Well, let me encourage you to begin to ask family and friends and write support letters just to start. Fundraising is tough work (I'm sure you know) ... and it takes time! I just spent about 8 hours personally emailing all my friends with the attachment of the 2nd support letter! I will pray for your search for a home church (that is really helpful!) and for French! Have you looked at the resources I created on the team site?

It costs $250 to take my bike on the plane and it didn't make it all the way to RCI with us. Decided to take a small break in Brussels, then come down on the next plane 3 days later.
Totally take your bike with you. I bought a $2000 bike for $150 off craigslist, paying a small fee and bringing it with me for 3yrs in Africa! This is probably the first thing that isn't on our Packing List that should be brought if you can.
Yeah all we do is sit around and work on JC stuff, then email back people like YOU!! Really thats what we do... meetings, projects, emails, prayer. I am leaving in a few weeks. Trying to nail down tickets this week!!
