About My Family

Our passion is to know Christ and His gospel. Our calling is to live a life dedicated to the gospel and all  its implications. We believe that the gospel is our only hope and the only thing that we have to offer this  hurting world. We long to share this good news to the world through the gifts God has given us. And  right now he has us with Journey Corps.

Our Part

I am the Journey Corps coordinator.  A few years ago I would never have dreamed of being the leader of a missions program.  Yes I am a missionary kid but I didn't know where that fit in my story.  To be honest being a leader in a missions program is sort of comical because how can a simple man like me actually accomplish anything for God's kingdom.  Ministry is an impossible thing without major acts of God.  So Here is my plan, I want to seek to look upon Christ the author and perfecter of my faith and see if he would be so merciful to let me be a part of what HE is doing around the world.  I am excited about being a part of this ministry! God has done so many exciting things already and I believe he will continue to do more. I hope that my small part in leadership will serve what God wants to do with Journey Corps.

What is the Vision?

…To see young adult’s lives radically transformed for God’s Kingdom by engaging in intentional community and cross-cultural ministry.

Why are you interest in Journey Corps?
I am on staff with Journey Corps. I love the idea of leveraging a cross-cultural ministry experience to prepare for future ministry.
Your Heart For Missions
I believe that God has a heart for the world. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…(Matt 28:19).” Gods heart is that his good news would reach the ears of, “the nations.” I also believe that if we can influence peoples hearts to become like God’s then their hands, feet, and voices will fallow. “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Matt 12:34).”

Faceted Glory of God PART 2

SEE PART 1>>

The book of Ephesians opens with a glorious articulation of the Gospel. Immediately following this Paul offers a prayer to God on behalf of the Ephesian church. Often in Paul’s writings he reveals part of his letters purpose as he prays for his reader. Paul’s letter to Ephesus is no different. Paul prays this, “…that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ,…

Faceted Glory Of God PART 1

My mind is brewing an idea. Have you ever had an idea that buzzes around in your head for months--the kind that follows you and steals away a bit of your mental energy all day? I get these little thoughts all the time. Usually, these little ideas grow over time. As I go about my business the idea grabs a hold other thoughts like a snowball tumbling down a hill. And just like a tumbling snowball eventually the idea is so pervasive that it demands my attention. Today I have one of those ideas…

The Power of Relationship

Posted on August 25, 2011 at 7:30pm 5 Comments

I just returned from West Africa where I meet with our pilot team. I heard many stories about God's faithfulness. Do you know that Scripture text that talks about God being able to do more then we ask? It goes like this, "Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,".  Well that is exactly what God did in West Africa this past year.  I desperately want you to see it for yourself,  but you…

I totally forgot to respond to this... sorry! I am working on a paper where I am asking that question of why do missions, so I was hoping to hear a few more responses, but its all good. But Im on track with you, I am splitting my paper up in the following way: The Triune God as Holy Love is the foundation of missions; the eschatological hope is the force of misssions; and the cruciform shape of missions is the faith filled people of God. So I'm trying to play off of the Pauline Triad of Faith, Hope, and Love from Col.1.4-5; 1Thess.1.3; 1 Cor.13.13. So we will see... I just sense missions to be something the churches find optional, or as EVERYTHING they do, and because they have done so they have failed to see what is and isnt mission and why we cant not do it. Anyways... sorry for not getting back until later!
